We wanted to share an important update regarding upcoming lane closures on West Chester Pike in Newtown Square, as posted on the Newtown Square township website.
Portions of West Chester Pike in Newtown Square will again have lane closures lasting different lengths of time. The lane closures are accommodating work under a local safety improvement project. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays are expected to occur.
According to PennDOT, West Chester Pike lanes will close in both directions between Boot Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue from Monday, July 8, through Friday, August 30. These lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Also, from Tuesday, July 9, through Thursday, July 18, West Chester Pike will have overnight lane closures in both directions between Boot Road and Charles Ellis Drive. Lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
